My sister is engaged!!!!

My little baby sister, Christina, just got engaged last night. I am so excited for her and Clinton (the man of her dreams) !!!! It is hard to believe that my sister is going to be getting married a year after me... crazy times. Seems like only yesterday she was shorter than me and calling me "sissy" sigh... life goes too fast. (to the right is a picture of Christina and Clinton at their graduation in May)

Unemployment Blues

As I mentioned I lost my job a few weeks ago because of a budget cut. I was finally in the nonprofit arena, but I guess I should have been prepared for the stability to be shaky compared to Oil Companies. This time has been a blessing because I was able to fly to Indiana and spend a few days with my mom and then drive back to the east coast with her and the remainder of my sister's things. (my sis lives in Brooklyn now) Oh the joys of a 15 hour drive which was 3 hours longer because of being stuck in dead stop, people out of there cars traffic in the middle of no-wheres-ville PA. Fun Times. This time has also been blah and below you will find an exciting list of something I like to call "unemployment blues."

- Cooking

- Cleaning

- Taking the dog out

- Doing the laundry

wait... ok fine I usually did some of this stuff, and Dhrumil still does the cooking but since I have SO much time I am more of the little "housewife" :) I did bake cookies!

- Staring at my dog

- Going to the library and looking for a job on the computer

- Going to the library and staring and trying to think of people I can network with

- Having lots of energy when Dhrumil gets home from a busy day and wanting to go on a 50 mile hike or something other than looking for a job and him being tired because he did just work all day

I'm back... and have added someone

I disowned my blog afterthought for a year and half and recently decided it was time to start blogging again. I wanted to create a new blog because my life has changed so much. I started afterthought when I first left college and was just starting "adult life" and I have come so far since then. I have gone through two jobs (long story) and a wedding and have learned so much about myself. I would like to say that I am now on a steady road and know where I'm going, but that is not the case. I guess life is just a continual path of twists and turns that we have to stay caught up with.

So for a quick update on our lives... Dhrumil and I have been loving married life! :) I lost my job a few weeks ago because of a budget cut and am once again searching for the "job of my dreams" I have to trust that there is something out there for me, but it is hard to stay patient.
I have really enjoyed reading all of my friends blogs and staying updated with their lives. We are all on different parts of the country now, but I still feel like I know everything that is going on. :)
